Right Side plate slowly gains its
shape. |
 |
In the mean time the servo
has been hacked. The last thing is to install the small sprocket
on the servo's shaft. We used for this purpose the horn with its arms
cut, modified sprocket with piece of tubing (see below) and the screw. |
 |
The original
sprocket has been cut. Additional brass tubing was installed
inside to assure proper centering. |
 |
The most important thing: how to install the
servos? To minimize the servo size the two pieces of plastic, for
fastening using screws, have been removed. Now small brass holder
and two screws secure the servo. |
 |
Another important improvement comparing to TeamUR
the Second: chain tension adjustment. The small brass part in
the left bottom corner can be shifted horizontally and fixed with the two
screws. |
 |
Here is the chain installed. Visibly needs
kind tensioner. |
 |
Now with the tension adjuster it is simple! |
 |
To increase traction a rubber band has been
installed on the chain. The thin thread wraps the band and goes
through the chain holes. It disrupts this precise chain movement in
minimal degree - this is rather low price for great traction. |
