New robot development has started.  TeamUR the Second is about to go live!

TeamUR the First

  1. The circuit has been added to the mechanical part.
  2. Some attempts to find cheap stepper motor from floppy disk drive have been made.
  3. Two identical suspension elements have been built and attached to the chassis.
  4. The infrared sensor has been assembled and tested.  The initial purpose of the detector is letting the robot know about approaching to the desk edge.
  5. Microcontroller PIC16F73 has been installed onboard. You can see The First Moves.
  6. The IR sensor has been installed and the simple obstacle avoidance algorithm has been implemented.  Now we have a real robot!
  7. The electronic compass has been purchased and tested.  

TeamUR the Second

  1. The suspension has been built.
  2. The robot gains some shape: the suspension and the chassis put together.
